In many ways, our church in Phoenix is tied to the city of New Orleans & the ministry of Calvary New Orleans.  After Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in August of 2005 and the failure of the levees destroyed 80% of New Orleans, Pastor Justin’s heart broke for the people in the city.  He was able to lead  2 teams to New Orleans & Mississippi for 4 weeks to help with the recovery.  His desire was to return to New Orleans with his family and launch a new church – Mosaic.  After 2 1/2 years of waiting on the Lord, God closed the doors to New Orleans and lead them to plant in Phoenix. However their love for the people of New Orleans and our desire to see the city’s renewal spiritually and physically continues to this day.

That is why Mosaic is partnering with Pastor Kevin Cox at Calvary New Orleans.  Pastor Kevin & his family have been living and ministering in New Orleans for over the last 10 years.  Like so many in the city, his family lost everything after the storm, but continued to be faithful to preach the Gospel, love on people, and seek the renewal of their city.
